Crown Winery, Humboldt
Since 2009, this state-of-the-art, Tuscan-style villa has been home to 17 Italian-inspired wines, from fruity sweet wines to dry reds. Take a scheduled tour to learn the history of the property and Crown Winery’s process. Make your way to the tasting room to sample some or all of the wines they have to offer. Choose a bottle to buy and pair it with a handcrafted pizza made on-site every Saturday and Sunday and at Friday night’s “wine down” events.
Century Farm Winery, Jackson
A family-owned winery with unmatched hospitality and fine featured grapes, Century Farm offers locally made cheeses and charcuterie to complement your wine tastings. Bring the entire family for a vineyard picnic affair. Live music can be enjoyed from spring to fall for free. Food trucks are also on site, so it’s the perfect way to spend an evening.
White Squirrel Winery, Kenton
Not only does this sweet spot feature Tennessee wines, it also grows fresh fruits that are transformed into homemade jams, salsas and sauces available in the luxurious tasting room. Special events and weddings are welcome; and a special bridal/bed and breakfast suite above the winery is available for rent with view of the vineyard and the limitless rosebuds.
Delta Blues Winery, Lakeland
Make your way to Lakeland, where the fertile soil of the Mississippi Delta produces Napa-inspired vineyards and award-winning wines. Named after the region’s iconic people, charm and sophistication, the tastes of Delta Blues instill nostalgia and rustic romance. Have a taste and buy a bottle of your favorites from dry whites and dry reds to sweet wines ranging from blackberry to peach to plum.
Old Millington Vineyard, Millington
Just 14 miles (23km) outside of downtown Memphis, the Old Millington Vineyard captures flavors of the mighty Mississippi and Delta through almost a dozen labels of original wines. Cap your Sunday afternoons with live music and wine tastings every spring and fall. Bring your own picnic basket and enjoy Millington’s peaceful forestry and fine wines.
De Terra Vineyard & Wines, Somerville
Thirty-four acres (14 hectares) of history and charm, this West Tennessee winery has developed delicious dry, semi-sweet and sweet wines. All the grapes are grown on the family farm, with the exception of the concord grape which is imported from Pennsylvania or New York.
